I was born in Northern California and worked in advertising in San Francisco.  In 1997 my husband, two children (10 and 12 at the time) and I set out upon what was suppose to be a one year trip around the world.  We first traveled to the Caribbean, then South America, Europe, Central Africa, Seychelles, and South East Asia.  In mid 1998, we stopped in Bali for a few days before proceeding on to Australia and New Zealand.  At the time, Bali and all of Indonesia was in a state of turmoil.  The country was in economic chaos and there were riots in the streets seeking the ouster of long-time near-dictator Suharto.  In the midst of  all of this, Ken and I saw something in Bali that we had not seen or felt anywhere else.  All of Bali is art.  The culture is one of constant ceremonies for every conceivable reason.  All of these ceremonies require the making of elaborate and beautiful offerings.  Because of this cultural and religious heritage, almost every Balinese is an artisan of some type.  Their wood and stone carvers are world renown.

We decided to settle in Bali for awhile and have made it our primary home.  We have studied the culture and the language and have gotten to know its people.  It was out of these experiences that I became inspired to create my unique line of Art Furnishings.  It is just fantastic to have available such wonderful and talented artists and craftsmen who can turn my ideas into fine pieces of art.

Thank you for visiting us here.  I hope that you find something that appeals to you and that you will treasure in your home.  Please let me now if you have any questions or need any assistance.  And give me a call if you have an opportunity to visit Bali (I'm serious!).
