Mask Chair Tall  A blend of cultures and fantasy.  This bright and colorful piece puts a smile on everyone's face.  Whimsical though it may seem, there are many Balinese design elements.   The black and white checkerboard pattern represents the balance between the good and evil spirits in Balinese life.  The carved mask front and back are classic examples of Bali's popular handicraft.  This adaptation combined with the monks chair design great as a separate or reversed set.  You won't know if you are coming or going!
Wayan Chair  "Wayans", or Puppets, are a way of telling ancient Balinese stories.  Puppeteers are highly regarded and apprentice for years.   This line of chairs has two genuine hand carved and painted puppets mounted on the back.  The design theme of these puppets is then carried throughout the entire piece.  This is fun piece that surprises with each closer look.  The detail and intricacy attest to the uniqueness of this piece.  Other designs in the collection use other puppets and expand the Wayan themes.
Padi Chair  "Padi" in Balinese means a rice paddy.  This example beautiful example of traditional Balinese style painting leaves the canvas for a contemporary 'sitting'.  Intricately depicted are scenes from the terraced rice fields found in the hills around Ibud, Bali.   Cascading waterfalls that flow into the river which tells a winding story through rice fields on the seat of the chair.  The back is carved with miniature penjores that adorn the temple during the rice ceremonies. 
Lotus Pond Chair  This the ideal solution to having Bali water garden as part of your furniture.  This whimsical chair is completely painted and carved with lily pads, lotus flowers, gold fish, waterfalls, butterfly's and much more.  Look down on the chair and  you are looking into your fantasy pond! Look closer and you will see amorous frogs.  A magical hidden picture everywhere you look.
Adirondack Chair  This piece puts a new cultural twist on the traditional Adirondack chair commonly found on the porch of many Cape Code homes.  This teak chair has a stylized slat back that  blends modern art with the cultural image of  Bali's Ibu.  The perfect outdoor or indoor  multi cultural classic.   Teak wood, multi color acrylic wash and satin finish.

   Mask Chairs  These whimsical mask chairs adapt the primitive handicraft art from Bali to a typical teak chair frame to create an unusual cafe stool or occasional art chair. These are two faced chairs with a different image carved front and back and upholstered with local ikat textiles.
